COURTNEY DION - CHICAGO FOR CHARLOTTE
🏃♀️ CHICAGO FOR CHARLOTTE 🏃♀️
This year, I am dedicating every mile of the Chicago Marathon to a very special 11-year-old girl named Charlotte.
Like my own children, Peter and Maggie, Charlotte is battling an ultra-rare and devastating form of muscular dystrophy called Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2C (LGMD2C). This disease robs children of their strength, mobility, and independence—far too quickly. And yet, Charlotte is full of light, laughter, and love. She deserves the chance to grow up and share that light with the world.
The Dion Foundation has already helped make history: funding the first-ever U.S. clinical trial for this disease and making it possible for the very first children in the world to receive a groundbreaking gene therapy. This is hope in action. But we cannot stop now. Children like Charlotte are waiting.
💙 We urgently need your help to keep this trial alive and keep treating kids. Every single donation—large or small—goes directly to the trial so that more children can receive this potentially life-saving treatment.
As I train and as I race 26.2 miles in Chicago, every step will be FOR CHARLOTTE.
Please stand with me. Please fight with us. Please give today.
✨ Together, we can turn hope into treatment—and treatment into more tomorrows for Charlotte and kids like her.
